Jury conferences
Included in the PROFESSION category, the last 3
jury conferences sustain the BETA 2016 competition, in an attempt to outline a
series of attributes at the euroregional scale, from the architectural practice
perspective.
The conferences will
have as starting point the activity and current concerns of the 3 members of
the jury in the directions set out by the categories judged within the BETA 2016
competition, namely: Ambient, Single family housing, Collective housing,
Commercial, Services, Institutional, Cultural and Heritage.
The three presentations
given by Adrian Untaru, Goran Vojvodić and Balázs Marián, architects activating
in Romania, Serbia and Hungary, who perceive the urban, economical, social and
cultural characteristics of the euroregion, will be followed by a session of
open discussions in order to generate dialogue and networking within the
profession.

Adrian Untaru
ADNBA was established in 2003 in Bucharest by Andrei Șerbescu and Adrian Untaru and later joined by Bogdan Brădățeanu. Their work is characterised by attempts to search for the balance between experiment and experience in the complex and delicate landscape of contemporary life. While they believe in architecture as a creative gesture, with cultural value and social responsibility, they also acknowledge the sometimes hazardous, and always subjective distinction between such attributes.
Goran Vojvodić
Goran has graduated from the Architecture Faculty of Belgrade University. His projects include residential buildings, hotels, office buildings, sport facilities with various uses, private or public spaces interiors. He has received the "Borba" award for Architecture, "April" Belgrade city award, as well as the Award for Lifetime Achievement from the Serbian Architects Union. Since 2007, he is the founder of Biro VIA, and starting from 2014 he works as professor at the Belgrade University.
Balázs Marián
Architect, associate partner of Gereben Marián Architects Ltd. since 2010 and teacher at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, MA course. Balázs Marián and his partner Péter Gereben have only been working together for the past six years, but they have already managed to create a number of realised projects and project waiting to be built. Before working as a team they worked in different architectural offices, honing their approach to different architectural tasks.
